Geo Outage Management System

GIS solution for Outage management used GIS web solution to view all the network data and upcoming planned network disruptions. This information is displayed onto GIS showing the are affected Network and is accessed by internal and external business partners. The advantage obtained was one source of truth.   Electricity Network data currently available to GIS was used and extracted data from asset management databases, spreadsheets, etc. and converted this data into meaningful layers in the GIS platform. Role based access has enabled various users to create their planned outages and approval. Managers for once had the luxury of viewing all outages at the same time and schedule and approve to minimum network disruptions.
